WEE CARE CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER

The following positions listed are the normal positions needed to efficiently run Wee Care Children's Learning Center on a daily basis.  We presently have opening for only those preschool positions listed that are "posted" - however, we hire often and are willing to interview and hold your resume in confidence should we be close to having an opening.  Please consult with Liz Cook, Director (951) 652-5329.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES POSTED  9/08 - Currently accepting applications for future positions.  All positions would require that you have transportation to school.  Pay is based on experience, ability, and dependability.

TEACHER:  Job responsibilities for Teacher are:
Qualifications:  Meet 101216 All Personnel Requirements
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
1)   Professional representative of school to parents.
2)   Care of 12 preschool children, or 18 if assigned an Aide or 24 if assigned a Teacher Aide. Be a team player.
3)   Establish ahead printed weekly curriculum of activities, music, reading, games that is age-appropriate for children assigned. Implement
      curriculum provided by Director. Teach children about fire drills, earthquake preparedness, safety. Assure the program is age appropriate so
      activities and learning centers can be provided to complete goals for that age child.
4)   Tend to children through their snacks, lunch, playground. Tend to their personal needs. Render daily health checks. Overview for suspected
      child abuse.
5)   Handle classroom management, keep classroom neat and organized, child evaluations twice a year, parent conferences if requested, ouch
      reports, playground management, taking children to bathroom.
6)   Have a clear understanding of school’s philosophy and teaching procedures.
7)   Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and participate in parent/school activities.
8)   Responsible for implementing "school rules".
9)   Communicate all injuries of children and all incidents to Director.
10)  Provide full time children a daily report.
11)  Treat each child as an individual and show respect to children at all times.
12)  Indoor voices are to be used by both children and staff members.
13)  Follow the center’s discipline policies.
14)  Sweep or mop room as necessary and follow regular cleaning schedule.
 
TEACHER AIDE:  Job responsibilities for Teacher Aide are:
Qualifications:
1) Meet 101216 All Personnel Requirements
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
1)  Work under the direct supervision of a fully qualified Teacher, assisting Teacher with the planned program and care of 12 to 24 children, and
     attend staff meetings, in-service training, and participate in parent/school activities..
2)  Maintain classroom neatness and cleanliness.
3)  Assist with playground management.
4)  Supervise napping children without being under direct supervision of a Teacher.
5)  Escort and/or assist children in going to the bathroom without being under the direct supervision of a Teacher.
6)  Sweep or mop room as necessary and follow regular cleaning schedule.
 
KITCHEN & TEACHER AIDE:  Job responsibilities for Kitchen & Teacher Aide are :
Qualifications:
1)
       Meet 101216 All Personnel Requirements
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
1)
       Be a fully qualified Teacher to be able to back up Teachers in emergency situations and give breaks to Teachers and Teacher Aides.
2)
       Give breaks to Teachers and Aides.
3)
       Plan ahead and handle kitchen duties of snacks, lunches, cleanup, food storage.
4)
       Plan ahead for the food for children’s cooking classes, help with cleanup. 
5)
       Assist in playground management at times if necessary.
6)
       Cleaning of all rooms necessary (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.)
